The irony is that we *do* put science in our trousers, every day, when you think of what's involved in creating the various garments we wear. And I'm not even talking about synthetics -- that's just the easy example.

I can definitely relate! I've never had that _particular_ experience, but I've had some similar moments.

What's even worse, is that there are cases where I have had to tell one of my kids that they shouldn't have done something, when the only clear thought on my mind was "Your real crime was being _stupid_ enough to get caught!"
