Putting my money where my mouth is

Not long ago I put out that it was shameful the US wasn't doing more to assist the refugees from the Syrian war. Most of them have ended up in Turkey and Jordan, which are countries we have good relations with and where we could be effective. Lebanon less so, but it's still possible.

Yesterday I got notice that Oxfam is making a special appeal for aid to help these refugees. Oxfam is an organization I think is pretty effective and I support them regularly but I threw in some more for this appeal.

If you also think we ought to be helping these refugees please read the appeal and decide if this is something you want to support.
