Firefox 35.0 wtf?

While I was away this weekend my Firefox browser updated itself to 35.0 and it appears to be BA-ROKEN. Symptoms include failure to save and restore sessions across restarts and not playing nicely with Google docs anymore.

Web searching for answers isn't showing me anything useful - anyone got clue?

Start with confirming all plug-ins and add-ons are current. Then try restarting Firefox without them at all. No guarantees, but it can be informative, at least.

(I'm still running v17.0.11esr because of inability of any later rev to simultaneously background-load 2 or more tabs, which I regularly want to do. I haven't had the time-and-focus to do the elimination testing necessary to figure out whether any of my add-ons or plug-ins are the culprit.)
