Arisia needs help

Full disclosure: one of these positions involves helping me. It's a really easy job.

Working the right number of hours may get you a free membership to next Arisia (different jobs count differently; some pre-con work can even count double - check with volunteers@ for details).

Hm, seems like this would not be a thing I could be helpful with, as this would be my first time at Arisia *and* I am not sure I will be able to use my phone when in the US ...
Do you know Cos personally?

I'm tempted to quip something like "does anyone really know Cos" but anyway... yes, it's probably not a job for a first-timer. And Cos and I have occupied proximal spaces many times and had many many conversations. If that qualifies as "knowing" then yes I know Cos personally.

Quite likely. Putting together the press packet I think is an entirely before-con job that should be do-able remotely. I don't recall what other gigs were on the list but check for things with publications.

AFAIK we already have people who are set to do this job and are already doing it. There is an Arisia LJ group. You could post there, or to FB offering your skills and see if they need someone. It might also be listed on the volunteers wanted page that is quoted above.
