I think this is what I've been looking for - a device to convert a desk from sitting to standing and then back again. I should do more standing - I do it in a lot of my meetings - but I don't think I could have a full standing workspace for an entire day. At least, not at the start.

Most of the other things I've seen have been either clunky-looking to assemble or designed to go in one direction (standard to standing) not convert back and forth.

I'm blogging this in part so I have a reminder and can look back on it but comments and shared experiences are always welcome.

For what they are, those prices aren't bad. I'm not saying they are cheap but they are reasonable for what they do.

We used those at work. They used to raise the cube desks for folks and that made office moves complicated. They moved over to those about 2 years ago and they seem to be holding up well. I have considered it but the way I set things up does not lend it self to that type of setup.

There's a new study out that suggests that people who begin using a standing desk at work come home and sit a lot more than they used to, resulting in ... not much total change.

My husband has one of those at home (he works from home). Feel free to drop me an e-mail to pass on to him if you want his thoughts.

Apparently not. Drop me a line at this username at gmail, and I'll pass it along to J?

Some people in my office have a product that functions like that. I don't know what the brand is, but I can find out, and let you know. Who knows? If it's a different brand, it may be more affordable.

OK, the ones here are "Kangaroo" desks from Ergo Desktop. I think they may be *more* expensive. Darn.
