LJ archive?

I've discovered that (even with a paid account) LJ appears only to make accessible 10 years' worth of posts. Anyone know a way to access older things?

ETA: OK, the calendar widget can be made to scroll farther back, but its ability to show entries is spotty at best. I'd love to get just a list of entries.

ETA 2: See commentary below. It's entirely possible that my first LJ post was in 2005. This means I'm getting even more senile than I'd thought. Go me.

How are you accessing them? Do you have direct links to them or is there a list somewhere?

I just click on the "archive" link on my journal and then it has a list of years, starting with 2001, which is when I created my account and made my first entry. For me, everything is working the way it always has (or has for the past lots of years, if not always).

That was the method I first used, and clicking on archive shows me clickable links for 2005-2016. Even more interestingly (see addendum to main entry) LJ is now showing me entries by highlighting dates in this calendar view. One of which is June 15, 2005 and the text of that entry leads me to think it's my first posting. I wonder how long I had the LJ in order to read & comment before I started posting on my own.

I have a recollection that our conversation kind of lagged from IRC and then picked up again on LJ.

I have an archive of my LJ entries and I searched it.

What are you using to create the searchable archive? I used to use ljarchive but that stopped working some years ago and I haven't found a suitable replacement.

Python. I was mucking about with ljdump once upon a time.

I'm not committed to any particular language though. So if I ever decide to work on this some more I can't guarantee it'll end up being in python.

It was after we started dating ... and if memory serves after you started seeing asciikitty that you finally started an LJ account.

That seems plausible. What confuses me is that first entry is me testing whether it's visible to friends, which makes me wonder how I knew people's LJs prior to being on LJ. Perhaps it was conversational?

i got my archive to go back to 2001, my "first post" was "Shauna is leaving me" - in San Francisco.
I had LJ in Boston.
....

so, Either the Archive doesn't go back, I can't access that far back, or other.
