How thick is your bubble?

I scored 35 but it almost feels like cheating because some of them are technicalities. Twice I've worked in offices at buildings that contained factories; my job was not on the factory floor but I went out on the floor once or twice a day and socialized with people who had factory-floor jobs.

I've participated in parades other than Pride, but not for a long time and probably not in a non-bubble sense. I took a bus to NYC relatively recently but by preference I drive or take the train.

And I've lived in West Philly and other neighborhoods that contained majority non-college adults but also a huge population of students attending nearby colleges.

The fact that one of the few online quizzes I'm willing to do comes from PBS says a lot about my bubble, I think.

63 and I think that's because I put my dad's job as blue collar, have had jobs with uniforms, and lived in rural areas for a bit after college.

37 and the description pretty much nails it: "A first-generation upper-middle-class person with middle-class parents", more specifically, an army brat.

I'm a 63, and my husband's a 78.
I'm a first generation upper middle class person with middle class parents, but the moving around a lot probably helped broaden my bubble.
He's a first generation upper middle class person with working class/working poor parent. Class jumping has helped broaden his bubble.

I scored 29 points and would say that I'm probably actually a second-generation upper-middle-class person who has made a point of getting out a lot:
11–80: A first-generation upper-middle-class person with middle-class parents. Typical: 33.
0–43: A second-generation (or more) upper-middle-class person who has made a point of getting out a lot. Typical: 9.

On the other hand, here's a bit of pushback I've recently encountered regarding the coastal-elite-bubble idea:

I scored 19 points and would say that I'm probably actually a second (or more)-generation upper-middle-class person who has gotten out a bit and has the television and movie going habits of the upper middle class.:
11–80: A first-generation upper-middle-class person with middle-class parents. Typical: 33.
0–43: A second-generation (or more) upper-middle-class person who has made a point of getting out a lot. Typical: 9.
0–20: A second-generation (or more) upper-middle-class person with the television and movie going habits of the upper middle class. Typical: 2.

When I was a kid I marched in NYC's Salute to Israel Parade, and while on kibbutzim in Israel I worked shifts on factory floors (plastic products and apple sorting). So even my parade and factory experiences were not typical of lower-middle class Americans.

I scored 35 points. It seemed pretty accurate, though I have ZERO idea how to accurately answer the question about my 50 nearest neighbors. I have never known more than 15 households well in my residences and normally that is closer to 6 or less. I'm also intrigued that the most bubble broadening thing I point to (working as a retail pharmacist) probably got picked up on this quiz by virtue of it making my feet and back hurt at the end of a 14 hour shift and not particularly because it involves directly interacting with people who are very much not in any of my demographic categories.
