If you've renamed your LJ

A couple people on my f-list have renamed themselves. Apparently LJ did a big purge and freed up a bunch of names. Good for them. Unfortunately, there's apparently an annoying bug where the new name is not automatically friends with people the old name was friends with so I've been unable to comment in their journals.

Of course, if you want to unfriend me, it's always Friends Amnesty day here so that's fine. But if it's not intended... well, now you know.

You're welcome? It wasn't intended as funny. I believe my profile still states that - people should feel free to friend or un-friend me as they please.

I originally wrote that profile bit in response to a FOAF who went into what I saw as hystrionics because some people had unfriended them and I thought it was odd.

Huh, weird. Things *look* fine after my name change; do email me if you find you can't post a comment. There's a set of checkboxes presented when one changes their name, which allows you to keep your friends list, et al; maybe folks missed that? *shrug*
